What Our Customers Have to Say

The custom die service is fast and fabulous. I ordered my first custom die as a birthday gift to myself four years ago and was so happy with it that I have repeated the process. I plan to continue this as an annual event. The first was a fan, the second a pair of crowns, both of them dies I use often. In each case, I provided pencil drawings (not computer-generated art) that were quickly turned into accurate proofs, followed by first-rate dies. I might have to step it up and design dies for other special occasions. I’d much rather have tools to fuel my creativity than cake or a bracelet!

Thank you so much for all your help. Our new dies are just perfect. I can’t tell you how much this has helped our new business. Being able to cut out our pouch covers all six at once has cut our production time down and has raised our profit level. Thanks for all your hard work making this possible for us.

I absolutely LOVE diamonds! No, not the sparkly, expensive, gem kind – the shape. I own most of AccuCut’s diamond shapes in their standard dies, but when I started to design scrapbook pages for our business, I decided I needed my own diamonds. So, I designed a background of diamonds. Then I decided I needed another background of diamonds. I wanted to use these backgrounds, cut in different colored cardstock, and layer them over each other. I have a digital cutter, but it is slow, only cuts one sheet of paper at a time, and doesn’t cut thicker materials.

So, I started the process of building my own custom dies. The dies had to be built exactly to my specifications in order to ensure they layered correctly over each other.

They took my original drawings and sent them back to me as a pdf file, with measurements showing me how the die would look when it was built. They even put pins in the dies so that we can put cardstock within the pins and it cuts in exactly the same place every time. When my dies arrived, I couldn’t have been more pleased! They were absolutely perfect! They layered correctly, the pins make our work so much easier, and because they are steel-rule dies I can cut other material. In fact, I used the dies to cut plastic and made them into stencils!

I have made several dies now, most of them requiring exact dimensions because they layer over other shapes. I have made frames, flowers and borders, as well as other fun shapes. Each die has been built according to my specifications and they arrived within a week after the final step in the process (accepting the drawing). I love my custom dies. They have helped take our vision of a semi-custom, easy-to-finish scrapbook kit and made it a reality!

Currently we have a program that started with one mother and one baby two years ago and has grown to an average of 15-20 mothers and babies per session. At every nursery rhyme time we do various fingerplays and songs with children 0-24 months. Most of the rhymes parents didn’t already know, so we decided to make a "rhyme ring" with all 60 rhymes. We started just printing the rhymes on small squares (5" x 5"), but then had the idea that it would be more attractive (and cute!) to have a teddy bear shape. The bear shape proved laborious to cut out for 60 rhymes per person.

Then we saw that we could have our own die made! They said they could create a Goshen Library Bear die for us! We sent them the size specifications, and in a very short time we had the perfect shape for our rhyme ring! We printed the rhymes on our bear template, cut them with the custom die, and hole-punched the corner (a ring in the bear’s ear!) and inserted a metal ring. The parents were thrilled to receive these, and they are easy to flip through.

Without having the teddy bear custom die, we would have had to cut all the bears by hand! These dies have saved us time and money. The bears looked professionally made and all the edges were smooth and precise (unlike the edges of hand cut ones, no matter how well we tried to cut them ourselves). The dies are sturdy and seem to last forever! Thank you again!
