About Momental design

MD-Lemon-Tag.jpg

It all started in a guest bedroom, friends and family needing invitations, and a talent awaiting to be shown. Kristy Rice being an innovative and artistically creative soul, infused her watercolor art with the love of weddings and stationery paper goods. This led into the making of Momental Designs, her now, flourishing custom invitation company.

Kristy had a slow and gradual start from being a ‘grass roots’ company, but with her rare and unmatched designs, it has gotten the recognition it truly deserves. Being featured in the Knot magazine, as well as some of the finest editorials made Momental Designs’ exposure start to take off, resulting in creating clients that walk the red carpet.

Challenge

Kelley, who has been with the company for 11 years now, stated their hardest challenge is ‘staying current and offering their clients options that are fresh and innovative’. With more and more designers and artists bringing their ingenuity on custom invitations it’s hard to stay relevant and bring something that appeals to the audience, that wow factor per say. ‘At the beginning, Momental Designs was the only company offering custom-designed, hand-painted stationery, but then the market exploded’, Kelley stated. But, despite the over-flowing market, they have found a way to set themselves apart from the rest.

Solution

Momental Designs offers a highly personalized experience with the help of Custom Shape Pros. Kristy and her team are able to offer new and different shapes of invites with custom dies. This gives them not only the freedom to showcase their talents but the ability to make their client’s visions come alive. Many of their custom dies are from ideas the clients had or from their team of visionaries, encouraging clients to push the boundaries for their invitations, something that ‘goes beyond the basic 5x7 inch layer of cardstock’

Why Custom Shape Pros
Being able to offer more than just cookie-cutter envelopes and basic shapes for their design process is one reason they keep coming back for more. Not to mention the variety of colors and finishes they are able to offer. But, it doesn’t stop there. Their custom dies allow for better quality control over the finished product, saves them time by being able to streamline their production process, and is less labor-intensive (saving their handy work for the painting).
